Hershey Recycled Halloween Costume Packaging

Design Vision
Hershey, committed to 100% recyclable packaging by 2030, is launching a sustainability initiative to reduce Halloween waste. Since 40% of costumes are worn only once and mostly made of non-biodegradable synthetic fabrics, Hershey will collect used costumes in NYC on November 1st and repurpose them into limited-edition gift packaging. These packages will be available at Hershey’s Times Square store and online, giving discarded costumes a second life. Additionally, for every costume donated and package sold, Hershey will plant a tree to support sustainable cocoa farming.

Creative Process
To design this campaign project, AI programs were leveraged to research and expand initial packaging concepts. Building on these insights, Photoshop and Illustrator were used to refine and develop the packaging design. Sora and Runway then brought the designs to life by adding motion elements. Finally, the case film was crafted in After Effects, delivering a dynamic and engaging visual presentation.
