OXYGEN Motion Posters

Overview
As part of NBCUniversal’s Cable Entertainment team, I created motion posters for new series on the OXYGEN channel. These motion posters were displayed on dozens of elevator screens in the Rockefeller Center, where NBCUniversal's studios are located, for a duration of three months.

Goal
The role of the motion posters was to maintain the key visuals and concepts that are central to each series while simultaneously reflecting the brand identity of the OXYGEN channel. Additionally, the goal was to deliver essential information, such as the air dates and times of the series, clearly to viewers while creating visually engaging content.

A plan to Kill Motion Poster

This motion poster was showcased in the elevator lobby of Rockefeller Center, home to NBCUniversal Studios. For the A Plan to Kill motion poster, my role was to bring the static design created by the Design Director to life through animation. Using Photoshop and After Effects, I crafted dynamic motion effects—making the background text appear as if it were being written and adding impactful blood splatters. Additionally, I animated the logo and designed an engaging sequence where a body emerges as the zipper of a bag opens.

To ensure a high-quality final output, I meticulously refined the colors, brightness, and textures of the motion poster. This project provided me with valuable insights into the design identity of the OXYGEN channel, allowing me to apply its visual language effectively. I also became proficient in utilizing the brand toolkit, incorporating tune-in elements and graphic assets seamlessly.

Philly Homicide Motion Poster

This motion poster was showcased in the elevator lobby of Rockefeller Center, home to NBCUniversal Studios. For the Philly Homicide motion poster, my role was to edit scenes from the program’s trailer and end page to create a 10-second motion poster. Using After Effects, I seamlessly connected these scenes while effectively showcasing the key visuals and symbolic elements of the show.

Additionally, I enhanced the visual impact by incorporating refined color grading, textures, and visual effects, successfully delivering a high-quality motion poster.

New York Homicide Motion Poster

This motion poster was showcased in the elevator lobby of Rockefeller Center, home to NBCUniversal Studios. For the New York Homicide motion poster, my role was to craft a 10-second motion piece that effectively highlighted the program’s key visuals. I achieved this by seamlessly integrating motion graphic footage provided by an agency and utilizing OXYGEN’s motion toolkit.

A key aspect of this project was analyzing an extensive range of motion graphic footage and multiple versions of the trailer to deeply understand the program’s core visuals and marketing strategy. To ensure the design aligned with this vision, I collaborated closely with the Creative Director and Senior Motion Designer, incorporating their insights into the final execution.

Using After Effects, I carefully edited the motion graphics to create a smooth and cohesive visual flow. Additionally, I refined the color grading and textures to enhance the overall quality of the final piece. (The shattered glass footage was sourced from motion graphics created by the agency.)

Snapped Killer Couples Motion Poster

This motion poster was showcased in the elevator lobby of Rockefeller Center, home to NBCUniversal Studios. For the Snapped: Killer Couples motion project, my role was to create a layout that effectively showcased the key visual designed by the Creative Director while developing motion effects that highlighted the depth of various background layers.

Using After Effects, I enhanced the mysterious atmosphere of the couple through carefully refined color grading and textures. Additionally, I designed a layout that clearly conveyed key information to the audience, ensuring both visual impact and clarity.

Dateline: Unforgettable Key art Design

For the new season of Dateline: Unforgettable, my role was to design the Key Art. Drawing inspiration from the series’ motion graphics, I explored the layout and imagery of newly introduced characters to develop a more refined visual identity. While preserving the branding essence of previous seasons, I focused on enhancing details and elevating the overall design quality.
